1. go to: Shaw's Supermarkets
2. click on LEARN
3. click on NEIGHBORHOOD REWARDS
4. the screen will come up with 2 choices - click on: LOGIN OR REGISTER WITH YOUR REWARDS CARD FIRST
5. you will then have to enter your Shaw's Rewards Card Number and the Phone Number you had when you got the card
6. click on FIND ORGANIZATIONS
7. you will then be asked to NAME, CITY, STATE - you can use LIONS, AMESBURY and MASS and it will bring you to our District Organization, Listed as Lions Clubs International......
8. CLICK on the box at the left of the organization name

Just when we thought we were ready to proceed - Shaw's Supermarkets has changed their program. There will be more information as we go forward but as of FEBRUARY 28 the program will change quite a bit.
What we need to do first is to submit ALL RECEIPTS by FEBRUARY 28, 2009. The mailing must be postmarked by that date. If you have collected any receipts PLEASE get them to me no later than at the District Advisory on Thursday, February 26. It would be much better if you can get them to me before that date.
All clubs will be given credit in the drawing at the District Advisory for every $250 worth of receipts you have submitted since the beginning.
NEW PROGRAM Now called NEIGHBORHOOD REWARDS Limited to purchases on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY NO RECEIPTS NEED TO BE COLLECTED Credits are earned each time a customer uses their Shaw's Rewards Card. Customers must register at the Shaw's NEIGHBORHOOD REWARDS web site. Go to Shaws web site for the program at www.shaws.com/neighborhoodrewards

The customer will have to register our organization which will actually be listed as Lions Clubs International - our number is:

After the customer has registered, every time they use their Shaw's Rewards Card on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday we will receive our bonuses which will be automatically calculated, and checks mailed quarterly. NO RECEIPTS needed after February 28, 2009.
I understand this presents a few challenges and may not seem as easy as the original program but it still means donations with no investment or work. We will keep sending reminders and material about registering cards.
I suggest if possible a press release or announcement for your local paper. We will prepare a sample press release with the needed information and forward it to you.
It is pretty easy as I registered my card and the web site worked well and it only took a few seconds. It is important that customers know our ID # in order to designate us as the charity to receive the funds. Also again it works only on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. Thanks
